Welcome to Medialine AG – your IT&C system house. As an IT&C system house offering a complete range of services, our name is synonymous with customised solutions for medium-sized companies. For almost 20 years, our customers have been relying on our knowledge and expertise in the areas of IT&C infrastructure, managed and cloud services, and business solutions. Today, we look after hundreds of mid-sized and large companies with our premium IT services. Our nationwide setup means that our customers benefit from a close network of sales and technical resources and it allows us to provide optimum on-site support and services for customers.

The entrepreneurs

Brothers Martin and Stefan Hörhammer recognised the growing significance of IT early on and pursued their desire for personal fulfilment through entrepreneurship. Starting as a team of two, they steadily advanced the fortunes of the company. Today, Medialine Group is a mid-sized company of 200 employees managed by CEO Martin Hörhammer and COO Stefan Hörhammer. With their entrepreneurial spirit and an experienced management team behind them, they are strongly positioned to take the next steps as they steer the company successfully into the future.

Growth and development

Aside from Medialine AG, we have broken into other business areas and markets by means of organic growth and strategic takeovers, and have steadily been expanding the Medialine Group. In 2002, we established our first company abroad in Romania with a focus on software. This successful nearshore development came about as a result of the brothers’ family connections in Romania and an abundance of highly-trained programmers in the country. Our subsidiary company medialine enterprise IT solutions GmbH has been delivering custom business software in the areas of CRM and ERP since 2009. Since 2013, Medialine AG has also been a majority owner of itk communications GmbH, a voice and unified communications service provider in Berlin. With 11 locations in Germany and our 4 European subsidiaries, today we provide our customers with a comprehensive service network and integrated support for their IT projects.

Private cloud, public cloud, hybrid cloud – customised for you

In the area of hosting/housing, we supply high-end system hardware and deliver outsourcing solutions. CompanyCloud is our own complete cloud infrastructure, and this enables us to provide comprehensive, flexible, customised services for hybrid cloud solutions.

Social responsibility

Growth and success for us are closely linked with social responsibility and social commitment. On this account, we support regional sports clubs over the long term with donations, sponsorship and commitment to youth work. Through donations of money and materials, we’re currently supporting the teams from the Ulm and Alpirsbach golf clubs, the handball players of HSV Bad Sobernheim and the Medialine company team, the TC Blau Weiß Bad Kreuznach tennis club, the bowling players of VfR Wiesbaden, kart driver Niklas Koch (ADAC team) and the young basketballers of BC Wiesbaden. It is also a tradition at Medialine to support social projects such as “Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF)”, “SOS Children’s Villages” and “Attat Hospital” in Ethiopia.

Employees and offices

We have carried out a long-term expansion to the suburban location of Bad Sobernheim for our company headquarters, thus promoting economic development in this rural region. Our success in the past is inextricably linked with our employees. Flat hierarchies, individual responsibility and early involvement in decision-making processes create the room to develop individual strengths, also encouraging an exceptionally high level of motivation. We openly discuss the goals we want to achieve and we give our employees the freedom to choose how they reach those goals themselves (e.g. working from home), in line with our company values. We reward individual success and encourage cooperation through joint activities such as taking part in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. In this way, we give our employees the courage to “do things differently”– with great success.

Green IT

In our sustained pursuit of green IT projects in customer environments, we optimise the energy consumption of their IT systems, integrating them into a sustainable eco-friendly system. We lead by example in this area by operating some of our data centre infrastructure in Datadock, the “greenest data centre in Europe”, and we have been awarded multiple times by the “eco Association of the Internet Industry” for this. This eco-friendly data centre has a cooling system that is so far unique and that utilises geothermal energy for cooling (one of the main energy factors in data centres), which can save up to 66% of the energy for the infrastructure in comparison with the average data centre. We support this development over the long term. Since we supply approximately 250,000 kWh of CO2-neutral energy per year using our own equipment from the renewable energy sector, we are now covering more than 70% of our entire energy consumption in a sustainable manner.
